I went to Sam’s Club last night and bought some pies for our little family get-together on Thanksgiving. I looked longingly at the perfectly baked crust and took a deep breath of the perfect pumpkin and spice aroma coming through the plastic lid. “How am I gonna refrain myself from eating this deliciousness?” I asked myself out-loud, as a passerby smiled at me…awkwardly…like I was a crazy person.
Low-carb diets suck on holidays…at least until I discovered LOW CARB DESSERTS. I mean, I’ve heard of the low-carb Atkins bars, which gave me stomach pain and horrendous gas. But…homemade low carb FESTIVE desserts like pumpkin bars and apple crisp? Get outta here.
I’m going to share five of the tastiest looking desserts that I found this evening while my toddler emptied out all of the bottom kitchen cabinets. Enjoy! 🙂
#1 Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Did she say ten minutes? I think I can find ten minutes tomorrow…the day before Thanksgiving…AKA…the calm before the storm.
#2 “Apple” Crisp
Guys, Lisa at LowCarbYum.com is a total genius. She saw a zucchini on her counter and then turned it into apple crisp. I’m not even joking! She also recommends adding a bit of ice cream:
“I have to tell you that this warm low sugar apple crisp really hit the spot. There was a container of CarbSmart ice cream in my freezer, so I added a little scoop of that as well.”
This is definitely on my list to bake this week! According to the reviews, even kids don’t know the difference.
#3 Chocolate Cake

#5 Cinnamon Rolls
Katrin at Sugar Free Londoner knows how to make a girl drool. Check out this amazing recipe for her cinnamon rolls, which happen to be Keto friendly, gluten free, grain free, and sugar free! In fact, one of these babies only contains 1.3 net carbs!
You could add so many great toppings to these, such as sugar free cream cheese frosting, fresh berries, or just eat them plain!
Sooo… which one are you dying to try out this week? I think for Thanksgiving I’m going to give the apple crisp and cinnamon rolls a try. But I’m definitely going to make them all before the year is over! 🙂
