Helllloooo February, finally! Why does January always seem like the longest. month. ever? It’s the Monday of Months! Insert January obligatory meme here:
Now that January is in the past, it’s time to jump into our February beauty picks. Not only will we be giving our honest reviews, but you’ll have the opportunity at the end of the article to enter to win ALL of the featured products!
What we did: we purchased a bunch of beauty products (at CVS!) and tested them. We then picked out four of our favorites and ranked them in the order we loved them, making #1 our top pick.
#4 Wet n Wild Gel Lip Balm in “Pout and Love”
Pros: Super smooth and soft. Not sticky or heavy.
Cons: It doesn’t last long, you have to apply multiple times.
Wet n Wild has created the first ever gel lip balm, and it’s pretty amazing. I was a little skeptical at first because I thought the gel would be sticky, but nope! This lip balm is so smooth and it makes your lips look healthy and hydrated with a punch of beautiful color. The feel is amazing, I haven’t felt anything like it, so you’ll just have to try it out for yourself. It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day kissable lip color.
Cost: About $7 at CVS or Amazon.
#3 Loreal Pure Sugar Scrub
Pros: Skin feels amazing after using it. Has a neutral scent.
Cons: Looks kind of nasty when it comes out of the tube.
Loreal Paris has come out with a new product made with three different sugars and grapeseed oil. It’s a face and lip scrub that you can use up to three times a week to gently remove dirt and dead skin. We loved the feel of our skin and lips after we used it–baby soft! It looks a little strange coming out of the tube, but I promise, it’s a great product.
Cost: About $6 at CVS or Amazon.
#2 Loreal Pure Clay Cleanser
Pros: Removes dirt and oil nicely. Feels good on the skin. Rinses easily. A lot of product for the price.
Another Loreal product has made it to the finals! This Pure Clay Cleanser is kind of like a mud mask and face cleanser in one. It gently exfoliates while removing dirt, oil, makeup, and pollution impurities. It’s made from three pure clays and red algae and has a great natural scent. When you mix the clay with a bit of water, it turns into a luxurious mousse that feels wonderful on your skin. This product is gentle enough to be used daily!
Cost: About $6 at CVS or Amazon.
#1 Love by Sofia Vergara Fragrance Mist
Pros: Smells expensive, yet very affordable. A generous amount for the money. Tons of compliments.
Cons: Scent does not last very long.
Sofia Vergara has released a fragrance mist titled “Love” and it smells exactly like romance! Perfect for Valentine’s Day for sure. This was our number one pick because it just smells so fabulous and expensive. “Top notes of mandarin, passion fruit, green apple and orange blossom, along with heart notes of Colombian coffee blossom, purple orchid, orris root and magnolia makes this gorgeous mist spray a must-have for any woman who loves sensual fragrances” (Product description). I always get compliments on this scent, especially from men! 😉
Cost: About $10-14 at CVS or Amazon.
